Poll: Schools will reopen when?

I do expect the closures to have a great impact in helping slow the spread. I also think, contrary to what some want to believe, that we aren't going to see many deaths or hospitalizations, but everyone will be extra cautious and delay reopening.

“Contrary to what some want to believe?” Wow. That’s pretty terrible.

How about this: it is only by emphasizing the worst case scenario that we actually get people to take this seriously. And if you want to mock us later for over-reacting, it will only be because our actions worked.

someone posted this in another thread and it’s a valid question— When do the ramifications from economic ruin, lack of schooling, physical and mental health toll etc. begin to outweigh what is a very low mortality rate?

Schools won’t reopen till Fall 2020.

California Governor just said schools are not going to reopen 'this year'.

No word on if that means the complete 2020 cycle or he just meant...through June.

There will be a huge impact from those who survive, but have permanent lung damage. We also don’t have any long term data on how “healthy” patients do at the one year, five year, ten year, and twenty year mark. We could create a worse situation in the future by letting it run wild now.

Mild cases are like a bad cold. No evidence they cause lung damage.

You seem like the type of person who loves death, destruction, and worst case scenarios.
