Serena Williams posted a statement about her plans during the coronavirus outbreak. The accompanying make-up video is a little over the top when we are dealing with a national emergency.

| OP here. I have always liked her but I was surprised that she posted this without her PR team reviewing it. |
| Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player. She also has a blood clotting disorder and has nearly died twice because of it. Stop hating! |
So what? Those two things have nothing to do with posting a tone deaf video. |
So? You can be talented but tone deaf and obnoxious. You can have a blood clotting disorder and be tone deaf and obnoxious. |
Those points have nothing to do with this. |
She has enough money for quality care with the best. no pity on my end when so many people can't afford healthcare |
| I think what she said was timely. The way in which she chose to do it (While having professional makeup put on) was strange and made me roll my eyes. Sometimes it not what you say it’s how you say it. |

It’s attention seeking behavior.
|
| Make up your got damn minds. Are y’all gonna freak out about the COVID-19 or are you gonna freak out about every-little-minuscule-thing some celebrity says/does. You can’t do both. |
Agreed. In this case I wouldn't have posted this note while getting full made-up by a pro makeup artist. But whatever...not the end of the world. |
| I don't see the issue here? |
| So she's leaving her husband and kid/s for 6 weeks and going off by herself? That is a little strange. |
No, she’s going WITH her family! |
Same. |
