What to sow hit DC who is usually in PreK all day

I’m seeing way too much tablet in our future. At school she plays outside twice a day, has music, art, gym. They do art projects and learn about different things. It’s not like K-12 where she’ll have homework packets or virtual learning... we’ll have nothing. DH and I will alternate work vs childcare so we can do things with her, but I’m at a loss what to do. Thinking I need to go to Michaels today before things get too out of control...

Let’s use this thread for the younger kids (3-6) who are used to being in preschool all day...

I think you need a schedule. I am seriously considering following the schedule my center uses- free play, then circle time, walk outside/ playground, art project, lunch, nap, snack, free play (eg dolls, dress up), another walk or other outdoor time (water table maybe?), craft project of some sort, reading books, music time. Then another walk to make it like they are being picked up from daycare, home for dinner, bath, bedtime.

Check out busytoddler on Instagram and I think a blog. She has great activity ideas that might be worth looking at before the Michaels trip
