Beauvoir Parent Interview

Anonymous
We have submitted our daughter's application to Beauvoir, and have been asked in a form letter response to contact the school if we would like to participate in a parent interview. Does anyone have any views or experiences with this part of the process? Are interviews still available? While not mandatory, are they helpful if there isn't anything particular that we think they'd need to know about us that's not in the application. Also, our tour was with the Admissions Director and one other woman visitor, so we've already spent over an hour with the AD discussing the school and asking questions. The school is our top choice, though, and we don't want to appear disinterested. Could I ask for any thoughts on this?

I called to schedule one last week and they said that they are no longer doing the optional interviews for Pre-K. However, I would still call and ask, who knows, perhaps someone canceled.

I also called and they are full for interviews.

Why not say to AD what you said here. We had a great tour, loved the school, it is our first choice, and have no further questions. You know she is busy and do not feel the need to fill her already busy schedule but if AD had any questions or wanted more information you are more than happy to come in for an interview. I said essentially this to an AD last year and she said fine, no need for an interview, some parents really want them but the decision is all about the kids anyway. This was not at Beauvoir but at a different school. DC was accepted there. She is currently at B.
