| Was already test driving 2018-2020 luxury/sport SUV’s. Thoughts on how to maximize a purchase during this troubled time? When to biy? What to negotiate? TIA |
| I’d go with an internet purchase. Can’t be too careful. |
| End of model year, end of year, end of quarter, end of month. Wait as long as is practical. |
|
There's no way I'd go car shopping now. You have literally NO IDEA who touched that car before you.
Is a car worth DYING for? No. |
| You'll probably get a great deal on a car right now considering what's going on. |
I agree. Near the end of March. Boom. Make the Dealio ! |
Yep! Just stay six feet away from all car dealership personnel and disinfect the car before you drive away. |
|
I had the same question as OP. Contact issue aside, is it a good idea to buy a car right now? With crisis & recession looming?
The deal we are looking at is the most affordable we’ve seen in years. (2019 model) |
| Wait until Quarter end 3/31. |
| Thx for this advice |
| We lowballed a car for DH today and offer was accepted immediately. (Guess we should have gone lower!) But anyway we closed the deal because we were tired of looking and found what we wanted. Now poor DH won’t really get to drive it for who knows how long! |
Poor guy, lol. Congrats on the car. |
|
Dealers are in big trouble.
Get a great new ride at a great price from a local business. Bonus if you buy American or at least assembled here. |
GM volunteered to make ventilators during shut down. Heck if not for GM you be speaking German now as they shut down car production in WWII to build tanks and jeep. Buy a 2020 Corvette and save a life! |
| What about deals on a used car? 2015 Audi? |
