| Any suggestions for a local Lexus car repair shop appreciated - preferably NOVA. Out of warranty and dealer wants a lot (naturally) for fixing parking sensors. Thanks |
| Anyone? |
| Check Checkbook. what's your zip code? i can look up if you don't have subscription |

give me the model and year and I'll print out the procedure for you.. the sensors are just plug and play. there isn't really any fixing them. but new and repalce.
any mechanic can do it... possibly even you.. |

Anywhere in fairfax county or NoVA. I live in 22033. RX 450H.
I have spent hours trying to find videos and trying to do it myself. Found only one video but it wasn’t clear how the person was able to detach the casing to replace. Fairly handy but can’t figure out how to slide/remove/take off latch/cover that protects the front two central sensors The local places I went to for estimates (4 of them including the local Toyota place) all either said they can’t do it or they don’t know how to but could try and figure out how to (which didn’t inspire much trust). They all said need to drop the bumper which is not what the guy in the above mentioned video did. I can reach the casing and I tried to jiggle it, slide it every which way but no luck. |

I got the assembly and mirror for my 2013 GX460
from some dealer in NJ and just had my kid put it on since he was the one who cracked it. Saved me $500 plus bucks. YouTube helped. |

the procedure does recommend removal of the bumper....
the whole process if pretty graphically oriented so it won't copy past well into dcum. send me an email smith.marcj at verizon.net and I'll pdf it for you |
