The Melania thing was so dumb. I hate her husband and even I can admit people only got worked up over that gown because they hate her husband. Bare shoulders to state dinners are fine - Michelle Obama wore sleeveless gowns to state dinners with QEII and no one said shit.

The silver Anna October dress (it's not even a gown! It's not even advertised as a gown, it's listed as a maxi dress!) is actually inappropriate.

I think the coat dresses and skirt suits are an affectation that she started wearing due to being the girlfriend of the President's son. A quick google shows that before Don came along, her style was much more in line with the things she links to.







She is a Palm Beach native, so I guess the love of dressing like a sexy Mrs. Roper makes sense.

She's not even 39 in most of those pictures I just posted. Those are all a few years old, bc I got them from a now-several-years-old article about "Who is Donald Trump Jr.'s New Girlfriend." She's probably 34-36 in most of those pictures.

On the one hand, I think changing her style to fit the location (DC rather than Palm Beach) and the people she's with (the President's family vs. random socialites) is a sign of situational awareness that most Trumps lack. Like, "Oh, I can't wear a mumu to the White House Easter Egg Roll as much as I'd like to. Better put on a pastel skirt suit."
