Going to the Sundance film festival - what to wear?

Help! I'm going to the Sundance film festival this month. I think I can figure out what to wear during the day, but what about evening events? How does one dress up a bit in a ski town?

my sister goes. she says it's very cold. boots over pants. heavy coats. pretty scarves, gloves, hats.
