DC Schools No Delay

| Would it have been that difficult for the DCPS to issue a No Delay message to the local news? It was so annoying to have watched for the information and seen nothing at all. I called the school and was told "everyone knows we're always open!" My son is in preschool so NO, I did not know that! Ugg! Rant over. |

| maybe it is because i am from boston, but it didn't even remotely occur to me that there would be a delay today. |

| I've never heard of the school system issuing a No Delay message. Is that something DC has always done? |

| Sometimes on NBC4 there will be an anouncement that DC schools will be opening on time. This is usually when the surrounding school districts/counties close or have delays (Montgomery, Alexandria etc.) and it would make sense that DC may have a similar weather issue. It is annoying to wait for announcement, go online to look. It is true that DC rarely closes, so assume they are open. |
