FCPS Late Opening?? For Real??

I can't believe it's a late opening today! There is almost no snow!!! Crazy.

In many subdivisions it is very slippery. And remember high school usually starts at 7:30 and middle school 7:50, so this gives a chance for the roads to get clear.

Sucks for me though since I now have to use annual leave for spending the morning at home. Sigh.

Fairfax county is big. It may be fine for you but worse in other places. It has been that way since I was little. They don't do it for fun.

There was plenty of snow in Vienna this morning. I tried to take my youngest to preschool at 9am - spent 15 minutes trying to get up our street (we have a big hill) and gave up, and then I couldn't even get back up my driveway. I saw other cars sliding around on my street as well.

No way should kids be standing out at bus stops at 7:30am when cars are slipping and sliding all over the side roads.
