Possible to keep Coronavirus threads off “recent topics?”

Anonymous
I spend way too much time on dcum via browsing the recent topics page. I am TERRIFIED of Coronavirus and wondering if there are enough of us that don’t want to see every other threat on recent topics about Coronavirus - could you take it off recent topics? Dcum is my escape and I want it back!

Technically almost anything is possible. But, what you are asking is that the subject line of every thread in recent topics be checked for various incarnations of "coronavirus" and skipped if there is a match. Our software has no such capability and the programming would be more than I want to do. So, I'm sorry but this won't be possible.

I think it would be pointless to remove Coronavirus threads. You might as well ban current events from recent topics.

Plus, there’s a lot of useful information on those threads.

No, it’s of critical importance that such information be kept easily accessible. DCUM has become a lightning fast coronavirus news aggregator.

OP, we all have our weaknesses. If this is yours, you can’t hold everyone else hostage to your anxiety.

That's a rather interesting usage of news. Gossip would be more accurate.

Ahh, I miss the simpler times of this thread... we were so hopeful back then...

And even when you posted. But good times soon!
