I would check Comprehensive Behavioral Health. There is one in Bethesda and one in Fairfax depending on your location. One of the few psychiatry practices that accept insurance. We had an appointment the next week when we called.

Children's is always on a backlog. What I have done when I need treatment for my son is to use the provider locator service on my insurer's website. One thing you will learn really soon is just how expensive care is. So, to the extent that you can, you might want to be sure that the provider you choose accepts your insurance.

There tends to be a couple of months wait for just about any provider. Just want to remind you that your local ER and your county Crisis service and police are good resources if things get bad and you need help immediately. Things can go south really quickly for kids.
