Anyone conceive at 43 or 44?

Did you have help from an RE or did it just happen? Would love any success stories. Thanks!

I was 42 when I conceived...

But I have 2 on-line friends who conceived using RE treatment
one 43, minimal stim IVF at New Hope Clinic in NYC
one 43, responded extremely well to injects, triggered and had timed intercourse, got twins out of the deal (but also got a kick butt case of OHSS)

And one IRL friend who conceived spontaneously at 43...
She had a previous pg at 38, and conceived both times in one single unprotected session (for lack of a better term)
She is certainly NOT the norm, though. Very fertile, and obviously very healthy eggs for an advanced maternal age mom.

Yes, 44, totally naturally. But that was after 3 miscarriages that required a D&C and who knows how many false starts/ chemical pregnancies.

I'd love to hear some success/failure stories too! I am 43.

I conceived naturally at 42 and have a healthy baby. We are now trying for #2 and I'm 43. There's a yahoo group with older moms, some conceived naturally at 43 and beyond.

Here's to positive thoughts, since I am in the process of losing a natural pregnancy, and I turn 43 in three weeks. This is going to be the year!!!!

FYI, my OB has a patient who conceived naturally this year and delivered a healthy baby at 50!!!!

I got pregnant at 42, almost 43. I had had a couple of m/cs so I went to see an RE. After the initial consulation, with no assistance, I got pregnant again and finally delivered a healthy baby. Every month we TTC, I got pregnant but it took 4 times until we hit the jackpot.

We might TTC again, and I'm now 45. My RE, who I haven't seen for quite a long time, was very impressed with my ovaries and uterus. I think we might be able to pull off another pregnancy

My cousin just delivered a healthy full term baby boy at age 46...Got pregnant by accident 13+ years after her 2nd child was born. Big oops, but somehow everything worked out! I, however have been TTC for 2+ years at age 32 and haven't been able to get pregnant!

Not me personally, but my grandmother had my Mom right before she turned 43 in the 1940s. Also (from doing a family geneology), I've had numerous great, great grandmothers, etc., have healthy children up to 45 and that was back in the mid-1800s.

After 3 years of trying, lots of accupuncture/massage/healty eating/yoga, and two IUI (one that resulted in an early miscarriage), I conceived DS naturally at 41.
After one year of trying (and another early miscarriage), I conceived DD at 43.

My neighbor conceived w/ her second IVF trial at age 42, delivered at age 43. No problems. First child. A friend had 8 years of failed IUIs and IVF. Went to a homeopathic doctor, was pregnant 3 months later at age 40. Did homeopathic again 2 years later for #2. No problems.
