| I see people do this all the time, especially in the entertainment forum. Someone will post a picture of a celebrity or article where you can click on it and it links you to the website. I can't figure out how to do it. I know how to copy and past a web address of course, but how do you actually include the picture? |
|
1) You first copy the image address for example - https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a3/b4/f8/a3b4f8bc47ddff207e6b69e39b2f8261--my-girlfriend-girlfriends.jpg
2) If the image ends with a .jpg, .gif or .png only then the picture will post here. 3) You put the address between the "Img" tags by using the "Img" tag button. 4) So the html would look like this... I am using ING instead of IMG so that you can see the HTML. [ing]https://i.pinimg.com/236x/a3/b4/f8/a3b4f8bc47ddff207e6b69e39b2f8261--my-girlfriend-girlfriends.jpg[/ing] 5) Your image would render like this on your post -
6)You can see how others have done the same by clicking the "quote" button of a post that has a picture in it. |
| Not OP but thank you for this. I bookmarked this thread! |
This is how you put in a clickable picture. 1) Beginning URL tag. 2) Inside the begining URL tag, using an = sign give the url of the target website. Close the Beginning URL tag. 3) Beginning IMG tag. 4) Image address. 5) Closing IMG tag. 6) Closing URL tag.

Welcome. I had not read OP's query fully and so just answered how to insert picture. Then when I reread what the OP had asked, I realized OP wanted a clickable picture that links to a website. Since I had never done or seen that on DCUM before, I tinkered a bit and was able to make it work. I posted again with instructions on how to insert a clickable image in your post. You can also look at what "dcum-HTML" I used by clicking the "quote" button of my post. |

| One note — I could never get this to work, until someone pointed out that if you are using a phone or iPad, it will sometimes insert a space before the address. You have to delete the space. |
