Talk to me about nose hairs

Anonymous
I was looking in the mirror today and noticed that when I turn my face up I can see my nose hairs. Should I be removing them? And if so, how? I am a sissy when it comes to pain and plucking seems worse than labor... Any suggestions?

Please don't suggest removing any more hair than necessary from the body. We (women) are already removing it from almost every place on our body except our scalps and eyelashes. If the nose hairs aren't protruding, leave them be!

Don't pluck--they will come in thicker.

Don't pluck, they sell those nose hair trimmers for a reason. Plucking would be the worst pain in the world. My husband has to use one. It doesn't hurt. And when you buy it, people will assume it's for your husband. Really. They sell them at drugstores, gadget stores, and I've seen them at Ross, etc. in the mens gifts section.

I agree, don't pluck! I did it and ended up with pimples where I had plucked. As above, use a nose hair trimmer.

This is an old wives' tale--completely false.

That being said, I don't think you need to torture yourself by plucking nose hairs.

I pluck and it hurts like a mother! Makes my eyes tear up involuntarily. I recently tried DH's electric trimmer and it's great, but it looks odd when the hair grows back because it grows back like a haircut. All the hair is the same length. It's really weird. Plucking does the best job, but you have to have a pretty high pain tolerance.

I just use my husband's trimmer. I don't have to do it that frequently. Maybe every 2-3 months? The only thing that bothers me is I swear the trimmer's motor or maybe it's the combination with my nose hair gives off the most offending odor and I gag as I do it. I keep using it and it works great. Don't have the problem of them growing back like a haircut.
