Cutco knives

Anonymous
Anyone use them? Someone gave me a Cutco bread knife as a gift and it's really good. I'm thinking of buying a chef's knife and a paring knife but I wondered if anyone here has experience with them that would lend itself to a yea or nay. Thanks.

It took me a second to realize that you probably meant "big cook" and not "bug cook"... I had visions of him cooking with bugs...

Cool! Does he have the cockroach zester?

Bug wife here! LOL! Yes - great for mincing spiders!

He always reaches for the Cutco chef's knife first when cooking dinner (hopefully not with bugs!)

My MIL loves hers, but it is at least 20 years old. Hopefully they are made with the same quality today.

I have a chef's knife and bread knife, both purchased about 10 years ago from a n-hood college student trying to make some money during the summer (I hear he's now a resident in pediatric cardiology, so is still in the knife business -- . OK, enough with the jokes, the knives are excellent; I use them all the time and there were a great value given what I paid for them. I also had a paring knife, but lost it at a potluck and was heartbroken. If anybody out there has it, please let me know and I'll come pick it up.

Love mine and you can send them back for sharpening!

Thanks, all. Sounds like they are well worth it. I don't need a lot of knives, though I cook quite a bit. I think a chef's knife and a paring knife would be enough, along with the bread knife I already have. Thanks again!
