Are you close to your teen DD? s/o

If so, what’s your relationship like? Does she talk to you? What is she like? What do you attribute to your closeness?

My DD is 14 and we are close, but who knows what the next few years will bring.

I am divorced which I think adds a level of closeness as I talk to her about some things that I might have otherwise saved for my significant other. Also, most dinners are just the two of us so lots of time for open conversation. I hear about her first kisses and the school drama and try to listen without judgement.

Also...she loves Gilmore Girls and wants that relationship!!!
