Richard Blake RE - anyone use?

Anonymous
I am looking for a new Gyn and saw that this one also is an RE (which I alos need). Has anyone used him?

Coincidence. I looked his name up the other day on this forum, and I was concerned, because I hadn't seen him on this forum. I really like Dr. Blake a lot. He's smart. I think he teaches at Howard. And you can tell he's been doing it a while. His office is conveniently located for me, and I can usually get an appointment pretty quickly. And he's usually on time, especially if you don't schedule an appointment first thing in the morning. (His morning surgeries sometimes run late.)
He has a great manner, and you can ask a million questions and he doesn't get annoyed.
I think he also accurately diagnosed my fertility problems. I've sort of progressed with him a bit and am giving him a second thought as to using him as my ivf doc. Only because I'm wondering if it's better to go with a doctor that deals with ivf a bit more often than he does.

Do you know if he does IUIs? What protocol does he have you on, and if you don't mind me asking, how much does he charge for ultrasounds and IUIs, etc.

I think we talked about IUI, but it wasn't an option for me. Just now going down the IVF road now. But I've got coverage. Bloodwork done in-house ran couple of hundred dollars. I bet you could just call office & ask cost questions. He won't start IVF until insurance is lined up with GW, which is where a lot of the procedures & monitoring goes on.
