Im trying to get a recipe that would use my Ground Turkey in my crockpot. DH doesn't like Chili, So if you have any other recipes I would be very grateful.
TIA! |
| How about making turkey meatballs? You can also make a tomato sauce with ground turkey for pasta / lasagna. |
| OP here, I'll take your tomato sauce recomendation. Thanks! |

i am making turkey sloppy joes in the crockpot as I type. I dont know how it will turn out, but here is the recipe I used:

| Taco soup, turkey stroganoff, minestrone with ground turkey |
| 1631 here- update- the turkey sloppy joes were a big hit- esp on soft potato hamburger rolls. |
| I don't do ground turkey but love to cook a fresh half turkey breast in the crock pot. I mix one package Lipton onion soup mix with a can of Ocean Spray whole cranberries and spread on top of the breast. It is wonderful. Don't overcook. |
| To the sloppy Joe poster; the receipe says to use liquid smoke where do you buy that? |
| my husband got it but he just told me that they have it everywhere. I am guessing he got it at safeway. |

I do a spaghetti sauce with ground turkey:
1 package lean ground turkey breast (about a pound), a large can crushed tomatoes, add some spices, some chopped onion and cook on low about 8 hours. Apologies for the lack of exact measurements -- I got the recipe from this site a while ago: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ and just wing it now -- the kids love it. |
