Hi all! We did a frozen embryo transfer on Tuesday. I'm resisting the urge to pee on a stick, but am wondering on what day people here started testing?
I did it the day before the blood test. I didn’t want to find out through a voicemail.
I always test too early. It's like an addiction, and it's awful, and inevitably it's negative, usually because it's too early, but then even though my rational mind is reminding myself that it is TOO EARLY, I can't help but find myself in a bad place for the rest of the day/week. Try to hold off as long as possible, OP, because once you start you won't be able to stop, and then you'll be agonizing over whether today's test is darker or lighter than yesterday's etc. It's just not worth all the internal turmoil. If it ends up being good news, it can wait.
Tested after 8 days. It was positive. SGF does not test until 14 days after the transfer.
Started at day 4, faint positive that kept getting darker every day. It was our fifth and final transfer that worked.
I start at day 4 because my impatience gets the best of me. It doesn't help that the result I get on day 4 has always been accurate.
With my first pregnancy, I started testing at 4dp5dt and got a faint line on 5dp5dt. With my current pregnancy I didn't test until 7dp5dt and the line was already quite strong.
Same here. |
^^ actually, in the morning just before going for the blood test. Good luck!
This is what we did too. My SO and I wanted to find out the results together (vs. me getting a call from the nurse while we were both at our separate workplaces). For our first transfer we tested day before the beta and for the second transfer more like 3 days before I think. |
4 days post transfer. Got a positive.
I have transfered twice and both times I tested at home the day before beta. This time I might just pee on sticks starting at 5 days post transfer. I guess I am a glutton for punishment.
I usually test on the weekend before the blood test (about day 11 or 12). My thinking is that it is easier to process bad and good news on a weekend. I don't want to have a bfn and go straight into work. And I've been lucky to have had positives the three times I tested but the strength of the line varied even though the timeframe was similar.
I started to test 4 days after a 5-day transfer, but got a negative and didn’t let myself test until the day before the beta. I got a positive at that point and had a successful pregnancy. Testing too early makes me miserable, but going into the blood test blindly is not what I wanted to do.
I started testing 6 days after transferring a Day 6 embryo. It was negative on 6th day but positive on 7th day.
