I've become a new fan of Domino's

I can't believe it. I used to think their pizza was crap and hadn't it in literally probably about 10 years but now with the whole "makeover" I actually really like it. And the chicken carbonara pasta in a bread bowl... I'm actually developing cravings for it. This is weird.

I swear I'm not spamming. I just found it surprising to have such a huge personal opinion change on Domino's.

Does Dominos still support anti-choice groups?

Yes. And the owner of Domino's is an asshole extraordinaire.

If you knew how many calories were in that pasta bread bowl you might think differently of them

Interesting. Not about the calories. A big duh to that one.
I know about the calories in Chipotle burritos and the sodium and fat in Chinese takeout but it doesn't stop me.

Yes to both of these things; for these reasons I don't ever buy pizza or anything else from Domino's.

I agree with the OP. Definite improvement in their pizza. Just noticed it at a recent birthday party where they ordered Domino's for the kids.

I grew up in Michigan and I always found Tom Monaghan's story quite fascinating. A total rags to riches, father died, single mom couldn't afford to raise the kids and he got sent to an orphanage. He was/is a self made man. While you may not agree with his political views, he was a very interesting case study when I was in business school.

He is pro-choice and left/sold a majority of his interest in Dominos sometime about ten years ago. I think he still has a very small interest and is not involved in the day to day operation. I have family friends who own some of the franchises and I believe that over 90% are franchised owned.

There food has definitely improved over the past few years. I used to eat in all the time growing up that and Little Caesars which is the other big pizza chain that is based out of Michigan.

I disagree that Domino's had improved. We ordered it the other night - first time in ages. Gross! I had one piece for lunch today (yuck) and tossed the other 3 leftover pieces as I knew they were too gross for any of us to want to eat again. I wish they were good.

I too ordered the "new and improved" Dominos pizza-I couldn't tell a difference between the new one and the old one. Is it just me?

I think you mean anti-choice.

It's not just you. I did the same thing the other evening and it was terrible. Same as before. Cardboard crust.

Agreed. I tried it recently, and it was grim. However, I just had my first pizza (pick up only) from Vace in Bethesda and it was fantastic. I didn't ask their views on abortion, though since they are Italian they may also be Catholic.....

hahah @ pp.

i agree, vace is some GREAT pizza. but unfortunately with the limited locations, it's not as convenient as the chains.
