Advice How Not To Feel Awful Due to Weaning

Anonymous
I am clearly very sensitive to the hormone shifts that come with pregnancy and weaning. I had severe hyperemesis throughout my pregnancy and now while making concerted efforts towards decreasing my 20month old’s nursing I feel terrible. Like, my skin hurts and I feel nauseous. The sensation goes away almost immediately if I nurse. At this point I feel like I’m going to just nurse forever so I don’t have to feel like crap. I’m trying to get more sleep, more water etc...any other advice appreciated. Acupuncture? Herbs? I know I can theoretically dry up my milk but will doing that also help with the hormone flux?

If there is something hormonal going on that is out of ordinary (which this sounds like to me, though I am not an expert), I would seek put a good endocrinologist.

You just have to go through it. Def speak to your acupuncturist about it. They can help ease symptoms through your transition. Hormones are whack.
