Navigation apps not working on my phone

For the longest time, Waze and Google Maps and other navigation apps don't work on my phone. Even when location services are on, they always say "no GPS; proceed to the route" or similar. Any tips?

Phone model? Android/iOS version? Have you googled the problem?

I had this happen for the first time yesterday OP. The only thing I could figure out was that my wifi was on, not just data. Still trying to test it out.

Make sure your location is on.

If you can't get it working, it could be something wrong with the phone, the 6 is pretty old. If google doesn't turn anything up then a last ditch effort would be to back up the phone then do a full factory reset then restore the phone.

Look at Cellular Data (or Mobile Data) in the settings and make sure those apps are enabled for mobile data.

Would second the comment that it is an old phone and may have some issues, but technically it should work.

They work fine on my iphone 6 but sometimes I have issues if I haven't updated my phone.

They stopped working with my iphone6 a while ago. The apps could tell where I was but then wouldn't update while I drove. I read somewhere that it had something to do with daylight savings time (for reasons I don't understand). I gave up and updated my phone.
