Do I need a faraday box?

I have a new car with one of the fancy key fobs that just needs to be in your pocket or purse to open or start the car. I can’t tell if all the concern from next door about some new technology that can replicate the fob’s signal is real or not. Thoughts?

Most car thieves aren't going to spend thousands on such equipment just to steal your car. They're better off just pick-pocketing you, or paying off their buddy at the dealership who can get a digital key made for any car based on the VIN number.
