Please stop taking your sick kids out!!

Went out to dinner tonight, and there was a toddler(less than 2) with red cheeks, horrible cough, runny nose and was basically wheezing inbetween screams and shrieks. She cried the entire time and I had to shush my 6yr old as he commented her cry sounded like a raptor!

Don't go out when you are sick too... stay home and stop sharing but not point in this post as selfish people don't care they are spreading it nor care their kids are sick.

It's Valentine's day.
There is no need to take a sick or cranky two year old out to eat and ruin everyone else's dinner in the restaurant.
Get take out people.

Why shush your 6 year old? Sounds like the parents need to hear it.

(Pro tip - don’t go out to eat on VDay. Ever. It’s a great perk of being married. No pressure.)

I’m case anyone was wondering these are the same parents that let their kid watch videos in public at full volume without headphones. And they are shameless about it.

My sister does this. Her kids are always sick. She says “if we stayed home when they’re sick, we’d never leave the house!”

Kids are 4 and 2, go to daycare full time, and I’ve never seen them without a crusty runny nose and horrible cough. She says they’re building a great immunity and doesn’t understand why I don’t want my son (18 months) exposer. She thinks it’s ridiculous that he’s never been sick.

Your sister's kids likely have allergies as opposed to being sick. My oldest always has a snotty nose, cough or sneeze. She was in daycare and I used to give the same explanation. Turns out she was very seldom sick, if she became sick it was because her allergies werent being treated and it evolved into a sinus infection with post nasal drip that causes a cough. The pediatrician put it this way: Colds dont last for months. Suggest to your sister that she take her kid to an allergist. Get rid of all the carpet in her house. Her kid peobably needs a daiky regimine. They don't do allergy shots under 5.

I agree. It’s ridiculous that your 18 month old has never been sick. How is he going to build immunity to anything? He needs to be exposed to stuff!

His absence of illness is proof of a strong immune system. You just know the sister has brought them around while they are contageous.
