Steel has a camp that fits my schedule, cost, and location needs. How’s the quality?

Like...real bad or just average? Kid is 7, not traveling or doing anything other than rec.

I'd think for a 7 year old most camps are pretty similar. They are going to run around a bunch of cones, do a bunch of drills, have a bunch of scrimmages, and likely be coached by the most junior coaches the club has to offer.

Steel, formerly FCUSA, had (and maybe still has, really not sure) some good coaches. But realistically, the ones coaching a 7 year old summer camp will not be their senior coaches.

When my kid was a 7 year old rec player we put him in the closest most convenient camp. It was the camp of a pretty bad club but it was nearby and cheap. He had a great time.

Age 7? Put in the camp closest to you with their friends. They won't even remember the training they get there by age 7.5

just do Golden Boot quality training ,fair price.not over competitive.

So does that mean the camps are not really for travel players?

Most travel Players end up at either team camp or some type of ID camp so they can be tracked by college programs
