Can anyone recommend someone who does eyebrow threading? i have a wonderful gal up in NY, but alas, she is 4 hours away.... I'm in chevy chase DC, so anywhere in upper NW or the bethesda area (even silver spring) would work, as well as downtown.
Thanks! |
"Threads" is a salon in Bethesda and downtown DC. They are very good.

Dupont Threading. On 18th, off Mass.
Check yelp. There is another threading place (2 locations -- one on L and one on U). I forgot it's name. |
A new place opened up in Montgomery Mall -- in the "quadrant" by the movie theatre and across from Bubbles. Haven't tried it yet, though, since my last threading experience hurt like all get out.
I went to the place at Montgomery Mall and I was pleasantly surprised--it looked good, didn't hurt *too* much and was CHEAP! $10 (plus I gave a $5 tip)...Will be returning...
OP here. Thanks so much for all the options!
threads in downtown bethesda is $15 for brows only. i liked it!
I am a huge threading fan- and I too loved my lady in NY- she made my brows look the best. Since moving here I have been to Dupont threading and came back with many tiny cuts (I did upper lip and brows) and have also went to Threads on U street- which was awful- they over charged my and my brows were not even! It was nightmare. So, I would not recommend these places.
Shear Shack in Annandale does a nice job.
The thing I hate about eyebrow threading (and waxing) is that you have to wait until your eyebrows grow out enough for the threading or waxing to be worth it. I hate walking around with grown out eyebrows, especially because mine are dark and somewhat thick, so it's pretty obvious. Usually I pluck them everyday, but for special occasions I go to NUSTA and Marylyn does a great job - really shapes them.
I saw a kiosk at Pentagon City this weekend. It's outside of the MAC store.
woman at okyo on m street is very good. it's $20.
I was also very pleased with the threading booth at Montgomery Mall. She did a great job.
