Care package for 13 y/o girl recovering from surgery?

A friend's DD will be laid up in bed for a while recovering from spinal fusion surgery. What would your young teen appreciate in a gift basket? Already planning on some silly comfy pajamas and slippers, but not sure what else.

My teen loves taking the quizzes in teen magazines.

Face masks

soft animal throw pillow

Yoga pants

Hydro Flask water bottle is very popular with her friends

If she has a phone, tablet, or access to TV with Roku or similar: an Audible subscription so she can buy audiobooks, or iTunes so she can rent/buy movies or tv episodes.

She may be in pain and want to lie flat, at least for a while, so audiobooks would be a good distraction.

No iTunes. She likely has a subscription to stream music, movies and tv shows already. I always say food is the safest. My son loved food when we was stuck in bed for a long time recovery from surgery. Friends brought him comfort snacks we wouldn’t usually buy. You know if she would like junk or healthy food.

Personally I’m a fan of face masks and find them relaxing but some of my friends and family don’t like them.

Find out if she likes crochet or knitting.

When I had surgery as a 13 year old, a friend of mine gave me the Lord of the Rings books. Of course, this was before the movies came out. I thought it was pretty cool.

Cartoon books, like The Far Side.

Mad Libs - she can play when people come to visit her.

Also, she'll be up and walking within a week. She won't be laying in bed for weeks.
