ivf and cramping

hello. i just had a FET 6 days ago. i am feeling constant cramping in my stomach. it is worse than period pain, but it makes me feel like i am going to get my period soon. has anyone experienced this and still gotten pregnant? i am looking for any sign of hope. thanks.

OP here again. For those of you who have had FET (this was my first time) did you feel any period symptoms before your pregnancy test?

For my positive fresh IVF cycle, one of my first symptoms was cramping. I tend to get period cramps on the first couple of days of my period but not before, but on that cycle I had cramping starting about 7-10 days after my transfer. Did you take a home test? Best of luck.

You can't always tell, because of the progesterone and other meds, but cramping is often associated with success in IVF cycles.

It is likely the progesterone - not to say that you're not pregnant, but the progesterone really causes cramping.

BTW - With both my pregnancies I totally felt like my period was coming and had a lot of cramping during the first trimester, so it is normal. (I was not on progesterone for those)

Yes, on my FET I had extreme cramping (and quite a bit of bleeding on 8dp5dt)...I thought I was out. Turns out I was pg with three, naturally reduced to two. Now have beautiful b/g twins!

Honestly?

I've done 2 fresh cycles and one FET. I had pretty significant cramping with each cycle. (in my case fresh were both positive and FET was negative). I was convinced that all had worked because the symptoms were identical.

The progesterone does a remarkable job at mimicing the symptoms of early pregnancy.

op here. thanks for all the replies - they are greatly appreciated and certainly give me hope. the cramping is different than period pain because it is constant. i called my doctor and he did not like the fact that i am getting cramps. to those of you who have had FET- when did you take your pregnancy test? thanks.

I did a FET with two blasts. I was scheduled to test at the clinic on the Friday but went ahead and got a very clear positive on the Wednesday morning. I can't remember how many days the clinics do but I think it is standard so that minus two! I have had one fresh cycle and one frozen. 2WW symptoms no different for either but the fresh failed and the frozen worked. 22 mth old b/g twins are the result. Best to you with this cycle!

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I was just going to post on cramping for TTC naturally. Anyone have experiene with this. I am having some cramping at 10 DPO after TTC naturally this cycle. Anyone have this and still come up pregnant? Thanks!
