? about ovarian cyst on Day 3 sono

I'm getting an infertility w/u at Shady Grove. My Day 3 u/s looked good (antral follicle count of 24), but I was found to have a large cyst on one ovary -- measured 4 cm. My doctor wants me to have a f/u u/s done next cycle to make sure it has resolved.
My hormone (FSH, estradiol, etc) levels were normal.
Anyone else have a cyst on their day 3 u/s? If so, how do they treat it if it doesn't resolve?

I get these cysts regularly. They've always resolved themselves by the third week of my cycle.

Had a cyst that wouldn't resolve. On the cycle when I did birth control pills before ivf, they aspirated it -very easy in house "surgical" procedure. Besides waking up a little groggy from the iv sedation, I didn't feel a thing. Started stim drugs right after. And I am a mom after that cycle!

I had a large ovarian cyst once, but not while TTCing. They usually resolve themselves, so the standard protocol is the "wait and see" approach (but I am not sure how TTCing/pregnancy could impact that). Mine went away on its own.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was just afraid I'd have to wait for it to go away before I started any fertility treatment -- glad to hear aspiration is an option.

I went in for my CD3 u/s with SG as well. What RE are you seeing? My u/s showed a olive sized fibroid right at the opening of my uterus. We are proceeding with our first IUI at the end of January. Unless I get a BFP this cycle. Which would be a miracle. But it shouldn't deter you from proceeding. How many follies did you have?
