Pedestrian only light cycle

Had to make a right turn downtown today and due to a very crowded pedestrian crosswalk, only about one car per light cycle could turn right. Was a bit frustrating.
Has DC considered doing 'pedestrian only' light cycles, where only pedestrians can cross, and then leave the cars a cycle without pedestrians? |

| Not sure about DC, but the intersection of Bethesda Avenue and Arlington Road in downtown Bethesda is like this and it’s awesome. |

| I’ve found the bowser administration to be completely f***ing worthless on these types of road safety things, but it can’t hurt to submit a request to DDOT. Trust me, pedestrians want this even more than you do! |
