Who has a new Corvette C8? Please tell me about it so I can be jealous

This car looks amazing and starts at $60K:

This feels like a new era of American engineering prowess. The accolades for the vehicle keep growing.

The typical complaint about the Corvette is the interior, and this one is shaping up to be no different. I love the look, it's amazing. The C7 corvette also looked great for the past few years, always drawing the eyes. But the interior... ugh...

What's wrong with the interior? It looks like the cockpit of a racecar! That's what I expect.

Lots of leather appointments - headliner, dash, etc. All I want is Apple CarPlay....which it has.

You can see what a mess that interior is from the photo. Look at that long strip of 20+ buttons along the right side. Now imagine trying to find the button for X while driving down the highway in the dark.

There's a reason most cars have buttons logically grouped, like the A/C buttons in one section and with one configuration, and another for radio, etc. That's just a big strip of mess.

WTF are those buttons for? Tacky x 10000!

Here is the Audi R8 interior for comparison.

Like the exterior but don’t like the strip of buttons. Like the R8s interior much better. The Mazda CX-5 has a control center between the two front seats to adjust the audio, etc. that might be a better fit for the Corvette.

Looks like it could be the same cockpit as a VW Golf.

Absolutely nothing special or exotic about it.

That's the dashboard of a mid-grade rental car.

I've owned 4 exotics over the years and never had one break down on me while out on the road. I am good about taking them in for scheduled service, and that service is definitely higher compared to regulars cars, because both parts and labor are higher.

I think most exotics are not used as daily drivers, but rather for nice sunny days. Less likely to have issues if you don't subject to the car to extreme conditions, and don't put too many miles on it. I put 500-1,000 miles/year on my current exotic car, since I have a daily driver I use on most days.
