Hi, we're moving to the area soon and were hoping for some wisdom on childcare options in NW DC for our 3 year old. We're looking for something starting in April, and have a few promising leads but don't know the area well.
In particular schools that seem likely to have availability: 1. Friendship Children's Center 2. Two Birds 3. Embassy Row Child Development Center 4. The Montessori School of Chevy Chase 5. Kindercare near my work downtown (we're using a kindercare in California currently) Do people have strong feelings on these options? We're also on the waitlist or applications for several other schools (Broadcasters, Kinder Haus, NCRC) but they don't seem likely until August (if at all). We're hoping to live in Cleveland Park or Tenleytown and value short commutes highly, so heading up to Bethesda would not be ideal. |
School for Friends may have space. |

+1 BCDC parent here and they're great. We live in Cleveland Park and the center is in Tenleytown. So location wise should fit your needs. Very happy with them for our 2 year olds. |
