Connection between Concerta and ear ringing and pain?

DD has ADHD and takes 45 mg of Concerta. She's recently complained of ringing in her ears. Could this be the Concerta. Anyone experience a connection between Concerta and ear ringing and pain?

My DC had the ringing and needed ear tubes. She was on a different ADHD med, I don't think it was connected because she'd been taking it for a couple of years before the ringing started. She also used to take Concerta and didn't have any issues.

OP, call your pharmacist or prescribing physician right away. Many of these medications have uncommon side effects and tinnitus is one of them. In some cases, it can be permanent. So, your DC may need to stop this medication and time may be of importance.

Caffeine irritates tinnitus, and since Concerta is a stimulant, it seems likely it can do the same.

You might want to find out if your daughter has been given the generic, my child's dr said the side effects can be worse on the generic.
