Hsg done cycle day 2

I had an hsg done cycle day 2, has anyone had this? Everywhere I read says way later!

I thought it was usually day 4 or 5.

It honestly seems like I’m the only person in the world who has had it done so early in the cycle

i thought it doesn't really matter what day of the cycle for the accuracy of the procedure or anything, it is more (a) done before CD 10-14 so that you know you can not be pregnant and (b) done late enough so that your bleeding has slowed down to make it easier for technician

my HSG was CD9 btw

That’s really odd. So you were still on your period? I was scheduled for one in August on cycle day 7. I went into the hospital and was still bleeding that day (thanks pcos) and when the dr found out, she cancelled it as she said it’s not good to do while you are still bleeding as the dye can push the blood back up into your uterus and cause issues. I had it re scheduled for the next month on CD10. My dr told me they only do them between CD7-10 so it’s definitely very odd that yours was done on day 2.

You aren’t supposed to do HSG’s while you’re on your period. It’s generally done between day 5/6 (after your period has ended) and day 10/11 (prior to ovulation). Where did you do it?
