My four year old sat on a computer charger that was sitting on the couch and it hurt her really badly. There were tears, and now she has a bit of a bruise on her outer hip/kind of into the buttocks area. She has swimming lessons tonight—am I paranoid in thinking that people are going to think this was a parent-inflicted injury? |
Does your child normally have bruises?
If not move on and take her. |
My pediatrician always said a little kid without bruises is a kid who isn't doing enough. Don't worry, things happen. Go ahead. |
It's fine. My 4 year old bruises easily (like me) and she's covered in black and blue and green spots on her legs and butt and arms. She plays hard and fumbles and skids and falls. It's fine. |
She what now? Your story is weird OP. Are you sure you aren't hiding something? |
My eldest used to fall left and right when she first started walking and was always covered in bruises (especially on her face).... kids get hurt... it’s normal |
What’s weird about it? |
Not PP -- however I wouldn't think a computer charger would cause serious injury |
OP here it’s not a serious injury. |
OP, would you think another kid was being abused if you saw bruises? I would just assume it was a kid who did kid stuff and got some bruises. |
I wouldn't think sitting on a computer charger would cause ANY injury. Are you talking about the prongs? The flat plastic thing? It's just a weird story. |
You're weird |
Then I guess you are thinking impaired. Throwing baseless accusations and suspicion around can be very harmful. |
So is lying. Your story makes NO SENSE! |
I bruise easily and so does my daughter. I say take your child to the swimming lesson. If people ask you, then answer them with honesty.
FWIW if you live your life as a mom worrying about what other parents think about the choices you make, you've got a long road ahead of you. |
