My kids love Word Party on Netflix. I find it annoying but moderately tolerable. Anyway, the credits show two voice actors listed for each character. Is that how it works with voice overs? The episodes are so short and there’s not much to the dialogue, lol. Never seen that before with kids shows. Help me solve this mystery as I endure another boring episode (kids have colds and woke up way early...) |
Voice overs work in lots of different ways but generally it’s only one actor who does the voice (although one actor may do several voices) The show you’re watching is probably done in two languages thus two actors. |
I hate word party, especially Lulu. |
God it’s so terrible. Same with Little Baby Bum. |
It is really awful. Their stupid voices. That dumb panda.
I don’t mind Little Baby Bum, except for the creepy grandpa guy who keeps popping up with the unkempt beard. He bothers me. My LO likes Badanamu. It’s cute. A little weird, but cute. Probably the one I dislike the least. |
Never seen it—is there both dialogue and singing? Some voice actors don't sing, so they use another actor for that. |
What I love most about Little Baby Bum is how freaking mesmerized my kids were when watching it. There was a few month stint where everyone was crying (I think they were 1 and 3) while I was trying to get them dinner and I'd pop that on the iPad to just get them to CALM DOWN AND EAT and it was like magic. |
I'm so grateful that I don't know what you're talking about...yet. |
I hear Meghan Markle does voice-over work! |

It’s useful in the right situations but also kinda scary! My kids reacted the same way to it. Great way to diffuse a tantrum on an airplane but, man. |
DD loves it and I actually enjoy it. One episode Lulu runs from the table yelling “cupcake” like a boss and I’ve never related more |
I love how slow and sweet most of the Little Baby Bum songs are. Many I find so soothing and lulling (color/shape train is my fave). I do a 20-min break for snack and LBB during witching hour. My toddler and I both enjoy that break ![]() |
My kids are recently obsessed with word party. I don't mind it, except that they have started talking 'baby talk' like the animals do, and it drives me bonkers!
I really love Tilly, the baby turtle, but it seems like she's born / introduced for only 2 episodes then disappears again. And agree with all PP about LBB, it MESMERIZES them. |
I don’t even let them watch that show. Too annoying. Even if I am not in the room, I don’t like knowing that they are watching something so annoying.
I like baby bum, though. Kind of sweet. |
