I finally remarried after 25 yrs. First husband was a nightmare(cheater, verbal physical abuse, stingy, controlling, super jealous etc etc etc).. My DH now is generous to a fault, very considerate(wears earbuds if he wants to watch a movie in bed so not to disturb me etc..) , fuels/washes my car, cuz he knows gas stations are my nemesis, I only need to ask him once to do something for me and it’s done asap, not at all jealous( I can wear whatever I want), I don’t have to work but he’s fine if I wanted to work, helps my grown son out financially while he’s in school, (I told him my son got a flat tire & he ordered a new one and had it delivered few days later). These are just a very few examples of how good he is to me, not to mention he’s not a cheater. I trust him implicitly and I don’t trust anyone! We are going on 10 yrs now and I would say we’ve had about 5 major fights and argue every few months if that . But when we have major fights he is such an jerk and blames me for everything and won’t let me get a word in and I pretty much have to be the one to backdown and bring us back to peace because the tougher I get the worse he gets. It just makes me wonder about most relationships and how good or bad are they really? I would say my DH is about 92% great & 8% asshole. What’s really going on behind closed doors in relationships out there??? This is anonymous so please all you women out there tell me the truth of how much of an asshole your man is .. Should I be counting my blessings or what?!

| What are you WEARING at age 60+ that could make somebody jealous? |
| So in ten years there have been 5 major arguments where he lost his cool? That doesn't sound bad to me, everyone has bad moments. |
|
What % asshole would he consider you to be?
I imagine if you asked his question of everyone women would fare no better than men in % great vs % not great. |
| Yep. You've got a good one. Stop worrying about it. My guy is a dream also. |
+1 |
| My DH is probably 1% a-hole and 99% great. I think he'd probably say the same about me. He's generally a great guy. And even when he gets moody for whatever reason, he's almost never "mean" or "abusive" or anything like that. |
|
1. I think all men are aholes (to an extent)
similarly - 2. All women are bitches 3. All kids are brats. Life is about realizing when we want to be a bitch, and then controlling that emotion or redirecting the energy to be productive. My husband, whom I love dearly & have a very good relationship is probably 5% ahole. I'm 10% bitchy |
| My husband is not at all an asshole. We have fights on rare occasion, but it’s due to miscommunication, not one of us being deliberately mean to the other. |
| My DH is 50% jerk and 50% good guy. He is totally oblivious to many things that need to get done, he basically expects me to do all childcare and be the maid. However, if he never complains about how I spend my time, or how I spend money. He lets me do whatever I want. I am considering leaving him because I’m basically a single mom, but people think he’s great because he will “support” me in whatever I want to do. |
I disagree completely with you |
This made me laugh! Hey I’m not 60 yet and have a damn good figure (37-25-38) that I work hard for at the gym 5 days a week so I’m able to wear sexy clothing still and my DH loves when men trip over themselves staring at me. Where as in past relationships I had to wear a burka to keep the peace! Even to the beach
|
| Now I am curious. Tell us about your most recent fight. Give us his reactions as well as yours and how did you make the peace. |
If this wasn't true, you'd despise him as a weak-ass doormat. Whether you know it or not, you want him to stand up to you. |
Gosh I have to try and remember It’s miscommunication a lot of times and that damn texting instead of talking . But he will just start yelling and I swear I never yell, I always keep my voice down but actually I think that makes him get angrier sometimes.
