If you had a much older crush in your 20s, how well did he/she age?

| I saw mine last week and will see him again tomorrow. We’re in the same field. I thought he was devastatingly hot when he was 40 (and I was 28.) Now he is 60 and he has not aged well. I just learned that he remarried and has 11 year old triplets. I think that might be the cause. I’m happily married, but I was looking forward to drooling over his silver-foxyness this month. Nope, he looks like a grandpa. I realize I don’t look 28 anymore, but I wonder if other people find their older crushes simply look old now. |

| In my mid 20’s I had an incredible crush on a guy who was about 45 but he was happily married so nothing was going to happen. I’m now 45 and happily married and he is 65 and widowed but he still looks fantastic. If I were not married I would definitely pursue him even despite the age difference. |

I used to work at a member's only club as a bartender and assistant manager. There was one member who was in his late 30s and married. I was in my mid 20s. He was such a nice gentleman and never cocky even though he was very successful and wealthy as all hell (house in McLean, several weekend homes, etc). He was so down to earth. We got to know each other very well after a few years. Then I received a job offer and decided to move on. We said our goodbyes and inside I was really sad knowing I wouldn't see him again. He was the only guy there who had my personal number (not that we communicated often). Fast forward two years we ran into each other at a social event in DC. He looked the same and even though I was in a serious relationship at the time my heart skipped out of my chest when I saw him there. It was like Christmas morning for me!
He will never know, but to me he was perfect. If he wasn't married I would have pounced on him so quick! LOL. And if he wasn't married now I would 100% go after him. |
