Made my first layer cake!

I don't know why I've been avoiding them for so long. It was easy and the cake is awesome! I got the urge because I was watching Cook's Country Saturday night and they made a Chocolate Blackout Cake that looked awesome. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about it so I made it yesterday (I actually had all of the ingredients in stock!). This is not good for my waistline!

My method: use all the right ingredients (real butter, sugar etc) but make a tiny cake - I bought a ~5 inch diameter Wilton cake pan and occasionally make a decadent layer cake for our family of three. It disappears instantly and does not stay in the fridge to beckon me... |
