| I was running around getting dressed this morning, and half-dressed, decided just to weigh in after a pretty good weekend of working out. So I stepped on and was shocked to see I was a few ounces away from a goal. So I stripped down and stepped on again, and it was two pounds heavier! What? I just replaced the batteries. |
| My scale used to do this, when I had it on a wood floor. I moved it to a hard tile floor and the fluctuating weight issue went away. |
I’ll try this. Mine is currently on wood floor. Thanks! |
| Mine you need to step on once to wake it up, step off and then back on. Luckily for me it shows a higher weight the first time so I am thrilled for the second reading. Yours is just mean : ) |
| I keep mine on a wood floor, and it is extremely accurate. I know this because I always weigh myself before I go to the doc, and my result matches there's. Same with DS. He weighs himself (he's trying to gain weight), and his results at his doc's office also match ours. |
| I can make mine give different weights depending on how I am standing -- if my weight is on my toes or center, it reads higher. If I put all my weight on my heels, it reads lower. Obviously, I always lean back as much as possible. |

Does anyone have a recommendation for a truly accurate scale? Mine will swing around 2 pounds over a few weighs almost every morning.
I am thinking about the Withings Body+ Smart Body Composition WiFi digital acale with smartphone app, any experience with this one? |
That same thing happens to me. My husband reports similar findings. It's the weight watchers scale from costco |

you need to be tracking weight over WEEKS not twice in one morning.
How accurate do you think a bathroom scale will be? I'm 6'3 and 195lb. If the scale is accurate to 1% (a super thing for something so cheap) that's 2 lbs either way any given time. Then add in temperature, humidity. THEN add in how much water is in your body. |
