I always thought he was overrated anyways. It seems he's just blowing through EPL teams like a dose of salt.

Does he coach DA or ECNL?

Not a Mourinho fan, but anyone that doesn’t think he’s one of the greatest managers of the 21st century is deluded.

Must be why EPL after EPL keeps dropping him, because he's so amazing. It's not like Chelsea didn't almost get relegated while he was at the helm or anything.

As much as his strategies and tactics are hated, he's gotten the job done against a number of superb teams quite a bit. His recent struggles don't erase that.

He spends lots and lots of money to play cynical defensive soccer. Not someone I would want to have managing my team.

His tactics produce term gains but do not produce any sustainable impact.

Not someone I’d want managing my team either, and not a fan of his style. All I said is that he’s one of the greatest managers of the 21st century, which is undisputable. He won 2 leagues, 2 domestic cups, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League with Porto. 3 leagues and 5 domestic cups in 2 stints at Chelsea. 2 leagues, 2 domestic cups and the Champions League at Inter. 1 league and 2 domestic cups at Real Madrid. 2 domestic cups and the Europa League at Man U. Snark won’t change that.

What he was and what he has descended into may not be the same thing. Whatever coaching ability he had, it seems to now allude or. That, or the competition has figured him out so effectively that all he does is coach teams from winning into losing. And that's not snark. His past 5 years worth of coaching has been an utter failure.

Put down the axe already. You can’t erase what he has done.

I don't need an axe. He's cutting his own throat. It's time to retire.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove. I agreed with you that I don’t like his style, his teams are often not the protagonists and I wouldn’t want him in charge of my team, but he IS one of the greatest managers of the 21st century. There’s also a big difference between a manager and a coach. I think hindsight has shown that the clubs he’s been at in recent years were a shambles on an administrative level, and it’s easy for people to make him the fall guy. Further, he’s won at every one of them, so I’m not sure how you can call it a failure. As impressive as Conte was at Chelsea, he lasted less than Mourinho did in either one of his stints, they got a transfer ban and have now appointed Lampard who is in over his head. You want to really see failure, look at Manchester United in between Fergie leaving and Jose’s tenure, when they actually won something, then look at the mediocrity now under Ole. Again, no one is disputing that he may be past it, and yet his team did just beat the back-to-back Premier League Champions.
