Noom for free?

Anonymous
Does anyone know which parts of Noom can be used for free? I’ve been paying for it since August but have reached my goal weight and no longer bother to read the articles. I’d still like to track calories and have the app set a daily calorie goal, but I don’t want to keep paying. I asked my “coach” which features can be accessed for free, but she is not answering the question.

Just wait until you want to cancel. Make sure you watch the date when your subscription is over because it will automatically renew and they won’t respond to your requests to cancel and refund the automatic renewal. I had to hound the owners on Twitter in order to get them to respond to me.

But the answer is probably that no part is free. Try Cronometer for tracking your calories.

OP, just curious. How much does it cost? Asking since you said you've been paying for it since August. Thanks

If you're a woman and want to cancel, just tell your coach you are pregnant. I've heard they cancel on the spot without any warning!

I use the free app now after losing weight last winter through spring. I track my calories, exercise, weight. It seems to be everything but the articles and coaching. I like it.

This is OP. Perfect. That is exactly how I’d like to use the app going forward. Thank you.

It was around $50 per month! It’s a lot, but I was successful and it was worth it to me. I’m ready to stop paying though!

Just FYI, if you ask to cancel, they will ask if you want to pay $19 a month instead. I've done this twice.
But yes can still access calories and exercise and all that after you stop paying.
I did lose to my goal weight with it!

I signed up for mine on my IPhone (via noom app). So it was connected to my AppStore payment card. You can EASILY cancel through there.
How do I know? Because I did it.

In fact I waited till the last two days, but I believe it turns out the subscription lasts until the end, even if you cancel earlier. So I could have cancelled it way earlier, and just used the app to the end.

If I had paid past the trial, I would have had the group of people (other users), and more access to a coach.

In the end I thought their food categorization was confusing and not intuitive. ALSO, I went over on the red foods allllll the time. Both bc it was impractical to cut out/lessen certain actually healthy red foods, and because the app didn’t stop me from treats.

I honestly do not like Noom at all. The food database for logging is very limited, MyFitnessPal is much better for food journaling. The coach takes days to respond. I do t find their coaching helpful.
