Summer goalkeeper camps?

Anonymous
Son is U12 and would love to find a goalkeeper day camp this summer. Is anyone aware of options with a reasonable commute of Arlington?

Zach Roszel, ZAR Soccer Academy, runs a couple of week long goalkeeper camps - https://www.zarsocceracademy.com/multi-sport-camps/

Zach is the top level goalkeeper coach in the area.

Academy One Goalkeeping runs a week long residential camp each summer - https://www.academyonegoalkeepingcamps.com/

You can contact both for local weekly training as well.

+1. Also, the Academy One camps are for college/late high school players, not a kid going into 6th/7th grade.

Let me guess...just some a-hole that most people can't stand to be around. Anyway...Zac was based out of Mclean for a long time. Trained many kids throughout Fairfax County. He is well respected. My son isn't a GK, but I've seen Zac train kids
from LMVSC, BRYC, Arlington, Fairfax, McLean, Vienna, etc at local fields for years.

I'm an Arlington parent who went to Zach for a year before field issues and school schedule changes forced us to move. Zach is fantastic. He knows his stuff, has great energy and is very positive. His keepers are highly recruited.

I wouldn't say he is "the top level goalkeeper coach" but he is certainly one of them.

the two initial recommendations appear to be for VA. any suggestions for NW DC (or close by in MD)?

I would not say THE best. That’s silly. Good coach though.

Zach Roszel is a fantastic goalkeeper trainer and just placed seniors at UVA, VA Tech, Princeton, James Madison as well as other schools for next year.

So no recommendations for someone currently running camps that would be appropriate for an early middle school student in NoVa?

Another +1 for Zach Roszel. My DD works with him and he's fantastic.

Another silly comment, he PLACED them? C’mon. Over the top. Much credit goes to their ECNL and DA teams.

Most of the credit probably goes to the players?
