How to get through TWW between doubling betas and first u/s?

Anonymous
I had a transfer of two untested blasts (frozen when I was age 36, average quality blasts) on 1/9. I was so convinced it wasn't going to work that I didn't bother testing until 7dp5dt - at which point I got a super dark line. My beta at 9dp5dt was 266 and at 11dp5dt it was 607. I know these numbers are "good," but I also know anything can go wrong between now and the ultrasound. I know there is nothing I can do if this is going to not be a viable pregnancy - just wanted to vent with others who might understand. I've been researching "miscarriage odds after doubling betas" nonstop but I think I am going to stop, that is not helping me at all.

Sounds like your two week wait is over - congrats!

And I don't have any advice, but I honestly never felt OK until I had a baby in my arms (long story).

Hope all goes smoothly and you have a baby (or two) in your arms in 38 weeks!

Thank you so much! I hope so too.

Step away from the Google!!!

I'm similar to the PP in that I didn't feel comfortable about my pregnancy until DD was born...and I had an uncomplicated pregnancy!

Try to get your mind off of things until the first ultrasound...binge watch a TV show, get out with friends, whatever you normally do to relax or blow off steam.

Sounds good so far!

Get off of Google! Seriously, it's the worst worst worst thing you can do right now. As you said, there's nothing to be done but wait. It was somewhat comforting to me to have an internal dialogue/mantra that millions of women have gone through this and that there is a much greater chance of everything being fine than of anything bad happening. Fingers crossed for you!

I kept busy. VERY busy! Planned lots of get togethers with friends, dinners out w/ husband, etc... Just tried to do everything I could to keep my mind off it. I largely failed at that, of course, but it did help to be busy. (And, like a PP, I never really relaxed until my babies were safely born.)

Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks everyone! Third beta at 16dp5dt came back at 4890, so things are still on track. First ultrasound next week so we'll see what is in there. Trying to keep busy as everyone suggested, to help pass the time.
