Has anyone researched the cost for Russian School of Math, mathnasium etc?

No pricing on any website. We are in Centreville and my child is struggling with math.

If you want cheap weekly instruction find a Chinese Sunday or Saturday class. They teach math in English.

Mathnasium will run you ~$300/month. Might be cheaper in Centreville.

Russian School is cheaper, but tutoring in addition to the program is a separate cost. I'm not sure I'd enroll a kid who is currently struggling in it. It's meant to be a math enhancement program. My friend that has her kid in it uses it more for her kid to be ahead.

Can you clarify what is meant by tutoring in addition to the program? Why would additional tutoring be needed? Isn't the program self contained with classes and homework?

PP here - It's been awhile since I looked into it, but there's the program, which is the classes and homework (homework is kind of intense) and then they offer extra tutoring in addition to that. I'd think of RSM as more of a supplemental/advanced math program. Mathnasium is more like regular tutoring.

Right, but why would paying for extra tutoring be popular with parents if RSM is more an enrichment program. I don't think AoPS which is a similar program, has any type of tutoring.
