You know you are an angry little troll. I wish that you had to use a username or not be anonymous so we could see what a pathetic little man you are. We all know that in real life you are a wuss and wouldnt have the courage to say anything about anything to anyone.....but here you can be the big bully. Go back and crawl under your rock.

Everybody has been reading the writing on the wall and now it’s done. Why so mad?

Yes, they were victims of geography. DCU lobbied hard for that. They don't want any full DAs nearby. Just some younger age groups at a couple of places to act like feeders for them.

They were also cited by the DA for not having enough fields with lights. Not sure that's an appropriate reason, but that was another thing.

They are were lower in the standings. They had some teams in the middle, and some at the bottom. But RU had been at the bottom for years and it was allowed because of geography and they do have those luxurious lighted fields.

Makes sense. They have been losing ground every year. I said that last year: that Larry left because he saw what was coming down the pike. Larry and Mikey both leaving tells you everything. Neither would have if there were a future.

How is asking this question bullying?

BRYC’s only good teams are the older established teams from years ago.

BRYC willingly pulled their U9-U12’s out of competitive leagues (CCL) several years ago driving players away who felt that a training only environment mixed with friendlies and tournaments was to drastic a move.

BRYC then reverts, but to late and now are basically an NCSL club at the youngest ages.

Larry leaves, taking credibility and trust of being a respected coach and TD with him further decimating potential interest at younger ages.

BRYC was always “boutique club” with an excellent reputation. It excelled through being small and selective while offering excellent training and exposure, all without being a ECNL club mind you.

BRYC might be wise to consider a merger with a DA club and start to consolidate what talent it has left while also eliminating some of the regions talent dilution.

^^^^ nice briefing. Agree on all those points. Last few years seeing a sinking ship based on young teams, starting from age group change mess... then money/coach issues. Probably girl side used all the money club had and paid less to coaches, coaches leaving, getting more parent coaches, then players leaving... bad cycles.

McLean lost DA by letting parents and the board have too much control over decision-making that should have been soccer. To many sons of board members etc and that kind of drama and too many good players leaving for DCU instead. Money and politics may have gotten those boys onto the DA team in the short term but in the long run the whole club lost DA not just them. Bethesda was added so basically the second DMV DA just moved from McLean to Bethesda.

I don’t know how you lose ECNL status but losing 2 directors in 2 years is a good start.

THIS! McLean has always had a hard time pleasing its parent base that believe they should make all of the soccer decisions. They go through TDs and coaches like water.

McLean lost because of field issues at the time. They were never a full DA so the funnel was always set up to feed players to DCU. And only having a couple of age groups made them expendable.
