Will this league be strongly viable ?
Is it another WAGS in decline? |
It is a recreation league I believe. Clubs all run their rec programs differently regarding games. Large clubs have a greater ability to maintain an internal league and schedule of games. Smaller clubs need an outlet like SFL to make sure kids can play games. There will always be a need for something like SFL but is at the mercy of smaller clubs that need such a league in order to stay sustained. |
Most of the clubs find it more profitable to push kids out of SFL and into B/C/D/E/F/G ‘travel’ teams. Most of those kids would probably be better off and happier in SFL. |
Seems stronger than ever, judging by the healthy team participation numbers and the well-attended, SFL-affiliated tournaments. I'm at a club that has a smaller in-house rec. league and, frankly, I'm envious. |
