There are a series of extremely active FB groups.

There are many Facebook groups. Join the Official Peloton Member Page, and they have a list of other, smaller groups. Beware of posting on the OPMP; the people there can be ruthless.

OMG, people are so, so awful on the main FB page. I'd look for some of the instructor- or group-specific ones. They can point you to other helpful groups. I'm in the Working Moms of Peloton one, which is great, as are the pages for fans of Denis and Christine. There's a broader Moms of Peloton (or something), which is also pretty bananas, IME. Lots of women with poor boundaries.

I'm fairly new to Peloton. What is the benefit of participating in these groups?

I second PP that you should not join the Official Peloton Member page. The community is terrific, but for some reason the trolls just come out in full force on that page.

There are other Peloton groups for working women, working moms, law moms, overweight individuals, you name it.

The benefit of participating in these groups is just to have a support system, safe place to ask questions, accountability, etc.

I like the Peloton Lawyer Moms group, if you happen to be a lawyer and a mom. If not, the Peloton group on Reddit is also active and people seem very nice.

The official peloton moms page is bonkers. You should absolutely join it just for pleasure

Haha I agree - that group is nuts. The Working Moms of Peloton FB group is so much better.

I like the powerzone group

If your cardio machine has its very own Facebook, Reddit, and member only branded groups and that doesn't read "crazy" to you, I don't know what to say.

Really? Why is it crazy? One of the things people love about Peloton is the community aspect. That's also a reason people like going to workout classes.

People go to work out classes, do their workout, go home and move on with their life. No one is going home and onto Reddit to further talk about their workout class, over and over.

But some people are - there are subreddits talking about SoulCycle, SolidCore, all of that. Doesn't mean everyone is, or that you have to. It's just social media, and some people are into it.
