Yes, my son did it. The instruction was good, my son had a great time. When he did it, there was a main instructor who clearly had a LOT of experience and did a great job teaching the fundamentals quickly. She also had an assistant (older teenager) who helped out especially in scrimmages and if they split into groups.
The only drawback for me was that the program was twice a week, which is a bit much for our family and a kid just seeing if he likes something. Plus, you're paying about $25 a session, which is reasonable-- but twice a week is $50/week for water polo. If they offered a once-a-week option, I'd sign my kid up right away again.
